Pilates workshop for Yoga Teachers

Pilates workshop for Yoga Teachers

When and where:

Saturday 2nd April 1.00 – 5.00pm online

What the workshop covers:

In this 4 hour online workshop we will focus on how to incorporate Pilates exercises and the foundations of Pilates, mobility and strength, into your Yoga classes.
There are 34 classical exercises from Joseph Pilates’ original repertoire.  These can be broken down into fundamental, intermediate and advanced exercises.  We will be looking at 15 of the main fundamental exercises with variations, how to teach the exercise from an alignment point of view and the benefits of the exercise for your students.
As well as helping with back pain, many of the Pilates exercises focus on strengthening the area of the core and gluts which can help your clients become stronger and stable to support them and help them improve their yoga practice.
We will also consider how to include these exercises into your classes along with the 6 principles: Breath, Concentration, Control, Precision, Centering and Flow. We will also learn about Global  (superficial) and Local (deep) muscles and why the Local muscles are so important in Pilates.
What bonuses are included:
A copy of the recording with lifetime access
Separate short recordings covering each individual exercise so you can dip into the one you want quickly
